Strong comeback for Hardt Hyperloop with multi-million euro investment

Investment round secures the next phase of Hardt's technology development; funding advances planned hyperloop projects in Europe and beyond; strategic collaboration agreement targets hyperloop projects across the Americas

ROTTERDAM, 3 November 2026. Hardt Hyperloop has closed a multi-million euro investment round led by U.S. investor Green Rock. Several of Hardt's existing investors and shareholders, including Perpetuum Ventures and Urban Impact Ventures, also took part.

The investment secures the continued operations of the Hardt Group, after one of its companies entered into bankruptcy proceedings earlier this year. Hardt will use the funds to advance its technology, prepare for planned hyperloop projects, and develop new projects.

Alongside the investment, Hardt and Green Rock have signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement to jointly develop hyperloop projects in North, Central and South America.

"This investment marks a new chapter for Hardt Hyperloop after a challenging period, and enables us to continue with the development and deployment of our technologies," said Tim Houter, co-founder of Hardt Hyperloop. "We are grateful for the continued support of our existing investors and pleased to welcome Green Rock. Our collaboration with Green Rock also opens up new hyperloop projects."

Cindy Huang, founder of Green Rock, said: "Hardt has spent ten years working on the hardest engineering problems in hyperloop, including safely switching vehicles between hyperloop lines at speed. We see real demand in the Americas for fast links between cities, and we want a technology partner that has built, tested and demonstrated the core technologies. Hardt is that partner."

Germany moves first in Europe

The German government has committed in its coalition agreement to building a national hyperloop reference line. Federal Minister for Research, Technology and Space Dorothee Bär intends to make €100 million available for it.
